개요

• 실수체는 유리수체로부터 완비성을 갖도록 해줌으로써 구성됨
• 그러나 실수체만이 유리수체의 완비화를 통해 얻어지는 것은 아님.

• 완비성을 갖도록 해주기 위해서는 먼저 유리수 사이에 거리의 개념이 필요

  • 유리수체 위의 거리는 각 소수 p에 대응되는 거리의 개념과, 잘 알려진 (실수를 만드는) 절대값이 존재
