• 복소 이차 수체  의 대수적정수집합이 유클리드 도메인이 되는 경우는 다음 다섯 가지가 있음.

• 실 이차 수체  의 정수집합이 자연스런 norm 에 의해 유클리드 도메인이 되는 경우는 다음 16가지가 있음.

  • d=2,3,5,6,7,11,13,17,19,21,29,33,37,41,57,73
• norm-Euclidean 이 아닌 경우의 일반적인 경우는 미해결
• 예를 들어
• 는 division algorithm 이 존재한다

• 복소 이차 수체  의 대수적정수집합 

•  이므로 UFD가 될 수 없다. 

• 이차형식 x^2+5y^2 에서 판별식이 -20인 정수계수 이차형식  를 통해서 PID가 아님을 알 수 있다
